How to organize, reduce clutter, and make the most of a small closet with these tips. Using space saving hangers, like <a href="http://www.onlyslimlinehangers.com"title="Velvet Hangers">velvet hangers, double or triple space.

It can be difficult to find storage and create organized spaces in your home if there isn’t much space available. Do you feel like even if you could afford to buy storage spaces you would have nowhere to put them? You’re not alone. By the time we put a bed, dresser, and some bedside tables in our bedrooms, we are really out of space. Plus, you don’t want to make your rooms feel cluttered with too much furniture. However, it can get cluttered with junk if you don’t have spaces to put things away. There are ways to make better use of the spaces that you do have, you just might have to get a little creative to make it happen. We’ve compiled some ideas from professional organizers to help you get the job done. Luckily, you don’t have to have a lot of space or money to use these tips in your home. Get organized and clear out the areas that are in view by using this helpful advice.

1) First you have to determine what you need to find a place for. If you have heaps of clothing, mail, craft supplies, and general junk lying around, it may be difficult to know where to start. This is why we suggest starting off by using the “divide and conquer” approach. You can separate things into boxes, laundry baskets, or just piles to get started. Try not to make any category too big or too small. When everything is divided, you can better tell how many areas you will need to create.

2) If you feel like there’s just no way that you can ever make space for everything that you own, it might be time to get rid of some things. Charities accept usable home items, such as office supplies, clothing, and toys. Donate and throw out what you can so that you have less to deal with. When you get rid of excess things, you’ll be ready to go.

3) Now that you see what you have left, determine the dimensions of space that you will need for each pile. It’s helpful to determine the actual square footage or inches of space that you will need. This way, you won’t be constrained to an actual measurement, and can adjust the dimensions of space needed to fit where you want it to. For example, you may have a 2’x2’x2’ stack of sweaters. Instead of storing the sweaters in a cube, you may be able to roll them and store them in a shallow box underneath your bed.

4) After you find places to store items that you don’t use all the time, you can begin to make the most of the hanging space that you have in your closet for your everyday wardrobe. You can use <a href="http://www.onlyslimlinehangers.com"title="Space Saving Hangers">space saving hangers, like <a href="http://www.onlyslimlinehangers.com"title="Velvet Hangers">velvet hangers, to make your clothes fit closely together. The velvet hanger coating will keep your clothes from slipping or being damaged by cheap metal clips. You can cascade these space saving hangers to coordinate outfits and double or triple your space. Using inexpensive solutions like this can have you organized in no time.

Don't let limited space limit what you can store in your closet. Use space saving hangers, like velvet hangers, to cascade items and save space.

Closets can easily get cramped and cluttered. Sometimes we have to be creative to come up with storage solutions that work with the space that we have. If you live in an apartment or home with few closets, then you may end up needing to store more things in your closet besides clothes and shoes. Finding space for these things can be a challenge. Use these ideas to help you come up with ways to store odds and ends in your closet while saving space.

You may be surprised at what types of storage containers are on the market today. The closet accessories that used to only be available to professionals are now available at reasonable prices to the public. Before you go and buy a lot of stuff, examine what you have. You will need to determine what really needs to stay in your closet. Get rid of as much as you can. Then take measurements. You don’t want to get home with a lot of containers that just won’t fit in your closet space.

See if you need to install additional shelving in your closet. Even coated wire shelving has some attractive accessories, now. You can get beautiful baskets that slide like drawers or wooden inserts that make a wire closet system look great, without investing in a solid wood closet system.

You can dress up a closet system by using wood hangers or other high-end hangers that make your closet look nice. You can save space by using specialty hangers. Save shelf space by using comforter or quilt hangers. Get shorts off of your shelves by using pant or skirt hangers to hang them. Pretty much any hanger with clamps or clips will hold shorts.

There are other hangers that will hold things and keep you from having to invest money and space in storing them. Scarves, ties, belts and purses can all be hung. Skirts, pajamas, swim wear, and even lingerie can be hung. Just be sure that you choose the hanger that is meant to hold each of these items so that they don’t end up stretched, torn or on the floor.

If your goal is to save space, consider <a href="http://www.onlyslimlinehangers.com"title="Space Saving Hangers">space saving hangers, like <a href="http://www.onlyslimlinehangers.com"title="Velvet Hangers">velvet hangers. These are thin, flat and fit close together. However, their ingenious design keeps them strong. The velvet coating keeps clothes from slipping.

Velvet hangers also come with cascading hooks. Simply slip the accessory over the hook of the hanger. Then you can hang more things from that hanger on the hook. Pair up tops and bottoms to make getting ready a snap. Plus you’ll be saving space and making room to store more of your odds and ends.

Tips and tricks for making space in a small apartment or home. Closet tricks, including using space saving hangers, or <a href="http://www.onlyslimlinehangers.com"title="Velvet Hangers">velvet hangers.

Do you live in a small apartment or home that just doesn’t have enough space? The good news is that every home, no matter how small, has potential storage space that we just don’t use or notice. With these space saving tips, you can discover the storage space that you didn’t know you had.

1) Reuse containers that your food comes in if you are able to wash it. Butter tubs can be used for craft supplies, two liter soda bottles can be used for dispensing yarn, oatmeal canisters can be used for toys. The possibilities are endless and you can make space by organizing all of those little things that can make an area turn into a heap of junk.

2) Make space under the bed and furniture. Risers are readily available and are so useful when it comes to making space. Risers are plastic stands that go under the legs and feet of your beds, couches, end tables and more. You can raise up an end table, cover it with a table cloth or sheet, and have instant living room storage underneath. By raising up your couch, you can store things under it. You can store toys, large shallow containers filled with winter coats, art supplies, or even your broom. You can do the same thing with your beds, making instant space for storing out of season clothes, books, files, shoes, or anything else.

3) Installing small shelves in the kitchen can double your pantry space. Start by cutting and staining boards that are 6” wide. Install them about 8” apart on a side wall of your kitchen. These are perfect for storing all of your canned goods, freeing up cabinet space. You can install doors on the front, a sheer curtain, or just leave it open to give your kitchen that charming country feel.

4) Use bags that you can suck the air out of with your vacuum for storing bulky clothes and linens. These space saving bags can save up to 80% of the little space that you have available. You can stack thick comforters, sweaters, sheets and more in a fraction of the space that they took up in the linen closet. Another benefit of this is that they come out smelling as nice as when you put them in!

5) Get rid of whatever junk you can. We tend to hoard things that we think we can use later. Donate extra office supplies to your local school or church. Clothing can be donated to help clear out space in your closet. Once you get it cleared out, you can still save more closet space by using <a href="http://www.onlyslimlinehangers.com"title="Space Saving Hangers">space saving hangers, like <a href="http://www.onlyslimlinehangers.com"title="Velvet Hangers">velvet hangers to maximize the space that you have left.
